No funds????

Can anyone confirm if this is, in fact, true? I was recently told this. If a student has completed their 40 hours of community service and then does more "volunteer" work the school will pay them! Is this right? If so, where is that money coming from?

  1. I am responding to the post, posted on the facebook page of Friends of Society for Quality Education.

I have read of your plight much earlier, and today I have done enough research to know how your group be able to reactivate the co-op DD program, whether the school board wants it or not.

Could you please contact me directly, and I do assume you have my e-mail address, as my explanation is rather lengthy. Besides that there is no point in letting the other side who have the control and final say, letting them know in advance your next tactics to reactivate the program.

Although I am not a parent with a DD child, but I am a parent with a LD child, who have experienced the nightmare of obtaining education services beyond the classroom. I only know too well, the feeling of future doors being slammed, nailed and sealed shut of students with disabilities. Or as you have put it, " ...Our kids stand to lose their chance to be contributing members of their own community."
